i'm not sure how i feel about it as a concept
on one hand, it's easier than swimming through porn stars and booth girls to get to the people you want to meet, but on the other hand, everybody there's just making ink boxes on paper, why should Jim Lee and Peter Bagge have to sit in different sections?

and it feels like it's more of a "not primarily superhero cartoonists island", more than anything else
Gilbert Hernandez is published by Pantheon and DC, that's about as un-indie as you get

hmmm
makes me wonder
but it does make me wish i was going even more, so i guess it gets the job done

I'll be at the Indy Island. Probably next to Jeff Amano.
I was there last year and it worked out great.

Looking forward to see you at Heroes Con this year. I've got just a few books for you to sign and I'll probably stick around the table for a bit debating on which prints to buy. *shrugs*

Indie Island worked out pretty well. I talked to some pretty cool people there.

Glad to have seen ya, Mack.

Haha, Mr. Ellis mentioned having seen you in an elevator and said exactly what we thought he'd say about a dance off.

No... "I'd just hit him with my cane. Therefore I'd win."
And then he gave a lovely, evil laugh.

Funny, he gave me the exact same answer when I asked if he'd watch my five year old nephew for a couple minutes. ;)
