in this month's Game Informer, there's a calendar and on it is the cover to Thing #8 with the quote
"SUPERHERO POKER! Have you ever wondered if superheroes play poker? You haven't? Really? Well, in issue #8 of The Thing (yes, he has his own series), you'll see the poker faces of Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, She-Hulk, and dozens of others."
so it looks like somebody on the mag is a fan and gave a shout out!
