Some good stuff. You can't beat mid-90s Tribe Called Quest especially, Q-Tip and co were in a zone for about 3 years.

Speaking of mind tricks, ive noticed you have a more "indie" taste in hip hop, so yeah, some jedi mind tricks might be to your liking.

Chingy, IMO, was the harbinger of doom. Ever since he blew up, rap has gotten progressively worse. But there is hope, Gnarls Barkley is one of the finest things I've heard this decade.

Recommend some good stuff to put on it. New, old, whatever.

The Roots: "The Next Movement" & "You Got Me" off Things Fall Apart. The latter is one of my favorite love songs ever, hip-hop or otherwise.

A Tribe Called Quest: "Electric Relaxation" off Midnight Marauders, which was probably their best album. Other people will say The Low End Theory and that one's good, too -- I'd recommend either in a heartbeat.

M.I.A.: "Hombre" on Arular. One of my favorite songs off that album, can't wait until the new one comes out.

Tupac w/ The Digital Underground: "I Get Around," one of his older songs before he went to Death Row Records. Should be able to find it on his Greatest Hits album.

Five Deez: "Funky" from the album Kinkynasti. Cool quintet from Cincinatti, sort of funk/hip-hop hybrid stuff like "Tribe" and the Roots before them. Heard it on an episode of Nip/Tuck and went out to find the album. Didn't regret it.

Kanye West w/ Nas: "We Major" off Late Registration -- I'm sure you're familiar with this but I figured I'd mention it anyway. "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" was pretty dope as well.

Hope this helps.
