Too much pop, not enough funk. Too mainstream, not offbeat enough. Who knows, maybe after a few more listens I'll like it a bit more, but this isn't exactly vintage RHCP.

Wow, this is the 1st Chili Peppers album I haven't really liked off the bat in over 15 years! Obviously there are a few stand-out tracks but waaaaaaay too many mid-tempo songs with melodies that are not strong and distinct enough...

whoa. I gotta admit I was hating it for the first few songs. then it hit and hasn't stopped for me. there's some dinosauresque solos and guitarwork on here. it's not bad so far.
