The college radio station I work at got an advanced copy. Its pretty rad so far. "Vicarious" is my favorite so far.

I've also listened to the whole album. I have to say...an excellent mixture of fast, powerful music blended with some subtle tracks. I've always found that Tool albums are well worth the wait between releases.

It's still alot better then 3/4's of the crap on the market right now. I will say that this is an album that works better when you listen to it all the way through as a whole. Not a concept album, but something that holds up as a total.

the opening rift on the second track Jambi keeps blowing my mind. Vicarious is so far my favorite radio friendly tune, but 10,000 Days (wings part 2) is absolutely amazing

The radio just started to play the first single and it sounds great,so of course they play it every half-hour so i'll be sick of it when it is released.I've been looking forward to something by them ever since undertow, they are one of the few bands i still have faith in to put out a good album without hearing anything.Perfect Circle is ok,but just not the same league as when Maynard is with his own band.I know P.C. played with NIN(whose new album is also sweet) a few years back, but a Tool/NIN show would fucking kick soo much ass.Hell, throw Tori Amos in there and i'll just quit my job and become a:drool:ing groupie.

so im in my truck last night, at a drive up atm. It's pitch black out cause well I work overnights like the fool I am. So Im listening to Lipun Conjuring-wich is a kick ass "noise" piece when there I am alone in the dark and that chick's voice starts up, I jumped and got prepared to fight cause the voice out of no where just got to me ya know? Anyway once the pains in my arm stopped, I took my money, swore up and down then laughed my ass off

Love this CD....so much better than Lateralus...can't wait to see the artwork, etc when the retail version streets (the same day as the new Pearl Jam!)...I can pick up both, and then listen to them on a loop on the plane home next week...

I had a listen to this yesterday...

I'll be buying this for sure. As for being better than Lateralus, I dunno about that. They're a lot different. It's nowhere near as complex as Lateralus, which some people had trouble fully grasping and appreciating (just look at the post above).

I'm not a musician...I've taken guitar lessons in the past, and I can follow a coversation about music, but I graviatate towards bands/albums with great lyrics...Lateralus was sorely lacking there and we all know why.

Agreed. It's not a bad album, but to take the elitest postition that we just didn't "get" it is actually incorrect FedEx.
