Ah, I see what you mean! Man, that's nothing....there's a lot more stuff than that! It's so easy for stuff like that to fall through the cracks when you're getting used to new characters and settings. Most of it people have caught, but I can think of a few things that didn't seem to really get noticed.....like Cap's mask covering his ear on the cover of issue 501. I thought I was going to get raked over the coals for that, but it just kind of slid through.... And then there's stuff like Jigsaw breaking Spiderman's arm which people lost it over. I had no idea that he was just a regular strength guy, and it just flowed better storytelling wise for him to do it, I thought at the time, so I had him do it. I think I was kind of thinking that he looked cool to me, so he had to be pretty powerful. What can I say? It made sense at the time!

I didn't exactly understand why people were so upset about the Jigsaw thing. It was hilarious to find all these fanboys arguing for and against the actual physics of it.
It's unfortunate that you got so much flack for minor things (other than what I'm doing. I mean well at least). You're absolutely right, little things happen. The only reason you're getting any hate is because you're drawing such a high profile book that came to be because of Hawkeye dying.

How about that mixed-up helicopter sequence in #1 huh? :P

Ha! That Jigsaw stuff is very interesting. Dave: who was supposed to break his arm in the script, or was it not specified? Really enjoying New Avengers, btw. Excellent work.

Well, I could understand why people were so upset about Jigsaw....it was just a frustrating experience, that's all. So much work went into that issue, and to have that overshadow everything was kind of a bummer.
Gah! Forgot about the helicopter sequence. Lol. That was just a case of a stat gone wrong.
It was supposed to be Piledriver...I'm pretty sure. Anyway, it was written specifically in the script, and I changed it knowing that I was changing it. I just didn't think of it as a problem, hehe, again because I stupidly assumed that he must be strong because he looked cool. In my defense though, it's not like that thought really went through my head. It just never occured to me that he might not be strong enough. hehe, that's not much of a defense is it?

Naw, not much of a defense, but you owned up to it, LOL. ;)
I really enjoy New Avengers. I've been reading the Avengers since I was 5 (I'm 38 now) and I have a more or less straight collection from 130 to NA#4 (and all the West Coast Avengers as well).
Keep up with the great art!

Wow... I didn't even notice the helicopter thing, the hair thing, OR the Cap's ears thing!
Good work on NA, btw, Dave.
