excellent first issue, glad to see the costume change was done in a way that makes sense, and they actually acknowledged "Supernova" as having existing. Although I didn't quite understand why the computer had to explain everything about being "Nova" to "Nova" hasn't he had the powers since the early 80s?

I had a hard time passing on this one, but I don't want to buy all the annihilation books as singles. I'd buy the one title but 4 is just too much wasted money on a format I don't want, going to have to wait for trade on it :(

I dug this issue except the art kinda took me out of it at times. I mean, it was solid, but there were some pretty gangly proportions on occasion here that made it very odd. Ah well, glad I ended up picking this mini up all said and done.

This was an awesome issue! Nova's a great character, and I'm glad to see him getting to show off how kickass he is. I kind of hope they go back to the original costume eventually. But for now, I'm way excited. Annihilation is great, so far.

I thought the art was great up until Nova took off his helmet, and then suddenly there was a jarringly cartoony face behind the otherwise grounded (for cosmic) art. Just horribly out of place. And then the reveal image of his new costume was painfully out of proportion.

Small quibbles in an otherwise strong issue, and the best of Annihiliation so far.
