the best bit of dialogue I've ever heard:

referring to how his two buddies aren't "Al Quaedas"
Christopher:...and the one guy is married, and they've got a dog...a Spring Spaniel...

I thought this exchange was classic:

MOB GUY: "Tone...think about it...the weight loss...?"

CHRISTOPHER: "What - AIDS?!"

TONY: "Nobody's got AIDS!"

Also, when Tony was defending Vito to the guy he just gave Vito's routes to, he said Vito was a real "come from behind kind of guy"

Man, the puns were rampant tonight.

Christopher frickin OWNED this episode. The Al queda scene was perfect from start to finish, from him lifting little 5 lb barbells (!) to the way he stared at Tony as he said "you know, the though DID occur to me". hehehehehehehehehahahahahaha

And gay Vito rules. I loved how his story wasn't much of a story but was still interesting.

And the part where Finn looks like he's about to pee his pants? GOLD. His scene with Meadow? GOLD "this is good shit." hahahahaha.

WONDERFUL episode. I thought the direction was excellent as well.

Vito ain't dead yet. Both of those options are still open. This show is anything but quick to resolve a plot thread.

Who is excellent at forging documents. Does a guy have to be a captain to be a mob guy? The fact that he was in Satriale's back room and is a criminal and assumedly has done forgery work for Chris qualifies him for me.

I am absloutely loving this season. Some people i talk do find it boring, but I don't get it. Not enough "whacking" I guess. I loved it when Tony kind of touched on that when he said how his crew always rush to kill someone.

Tony's struggle with morality, and mortality, this year is great.

It's no coincidence either. Vito went there looking for his cousin. My guess is that cousin is gay too. That would be the only person Vito could go to.

Not quite. The only reason he stops in that town is because of his car accident. True he tries to seek out his cousin, but he has no clue where to look in the state and can't get a listing from the operator.

I don't think so, at least not on the surface. He's looking for a female possibly married cousin, as evidenced by the married name that he first requests and then settles on the female match to his own surname. I just think he's looking for someone so far removed from his own life that anyone would have a hard time making the connection, at least not for a few weeks. He's not looking for a gay person, just anyone that he has a tenuous connection to and hasn't seen him in long enough that he can tell them whatever story he can think of.

I'm thinking Tony will let him back to do something, though probably not as a full Captain. A good earner is a good earner and if he can make money for him, he'll let him do so. That being said, I'm not sure Phil's gonna be so forgiving.

"A friend who works in the filming world mentioned that on the Sopranos there’s a violent rape scene between Joseph R. Gannascoli [who plays Vito Spatafore] and Will Janowitz [who plays Finn DeTrolio] will occur within the next two episodes. Cast members mentioned that it is so disgusting that many walked off set sick from it."
If that's true, then all of you guys getting out the hankies for Vito might wanna wait a couple of weeks.

Remember that Vito has been pining after Finn for two years now. I can see him making an overture that just gets out of hand because these guys just cannot cope with not getting their way.

Remember, also, that Vito's discipline is going out the window, too. Just as he's bingeing on food, he may well go overboard with sexual agression.

I think the AICN thing is horseshit. It smacks of a fan based rumor. That said, the show's appeal is that anything can happen and usually does. I know leaking is far from an exact science, but if they kept Joey Pants' exit from getting out, I think they'd be able to keep a shocker like this under wraps.

I remember being taken aback by how creepy Vito was acting when he ran into Finn at the wedding. My thought was that it's been two years, and Vito is still nursing some kind of powerful crush. Probably thinks the weight loss might make him more attractive to Finn.

My arguments aginst this are A) I thought the crush was just their way of leading back into reminding us that Vito was gay as a springboard into this episode's story. And B) This show's been really smart about making gay people real. I just don't see how Vito, who likes Finn, translates that crush into a rape. Fine, Finn ratted him out, and yeah he's hot for him, but I just think a rape is a lazy shock tactic. It feels out of place and it can only serve to reenforce the homophobia that they've been lampooning for the last couple of episodes. That, and as a very minor point, (admittedly based on very little evidence) Vito's a catcher, not a pitcher.

That said, I'm now starting to lean more against this particular spoiler, based on the wording, especially this part:it is so disgusting that many walked off set sick from it.

This part doesn't make any sense. How bad could it possibly be? These are television professionals, for God's sake. One thing I hear over and over is how boring a movie/television set usually is. This thing, if it were true, it would have to be shot with such meticulous precision, that I just don't believe that people would be walking off set sick from it.

That makes me suspect some 12 year old having a laugh.
