Okay. First you get the flu. This is the easy part. Any flu will do. I suggest something with a nice 102 degree temperature and very little head congestion, since the fever-induced hallucinations are fun, but the nose full of snot is not.
Then, get one of your kids to get a different flu from school. This is the tricky bit, since you need something with completely different symptoms (say, lots of vomiting) and synching up incubation times between two different viruses can be tricky.
Now, you must recover from flu #1 exactly 6 hours before flu #2 comes on in full force.
It's brilliant. A real Old Testament kind of experience.
