It's probably the beer talking...Kiltlifter so good... but best episode ever.
Jin laughing it up as Hurley beat the shit out of Sawyer.
Sawyers line "I could open a convenience store. Do you think Sayid needs a job?"
When I screamed "Put Sayid in charge!" so loud my neighbors all pounded on the walls and ceiling.
The end of the episode....brilliant.
So much good in this.

*sigh* I think my Tivo skipped this episode, or Anne accidentally deleted it. Either way, I just watched 3 episodes back to back and right after the parachute cargo was found, the next episode I saw had them stocking food on the beach.
That being said -- apparently nothing at all happened in the missing episode, much like the first one I watched where Sun found out she was pregnant and otherwise... nothing. Thanks. I saw the pregnancy bit in the commercial.
And the blast doors slamming down in the living quarters episode... We go through all that trouble, freaking out over the doors, the power flickering, trusting "Henry", lifting the door, pinning Locke under the door, but there's a FUCKING VENT LOCKE COULD HAVE CRAWLED THROUGH?! Christ. It's just as bad as spending half a season digging a hole in the jungle, only to find out the first episode of season 2 - "Oh, hey, there's a back door that, like, isn't hard to get to at all and we totally would have found if we'd, like, walked down this hill."
And then, the SOS episode whose entire revelation was "Rose got cured when she got to the island. You know. Like Locke?" Just like the guys in the hatch, the writers are now pressing the same button over and over again.
I've come to the conclusion that at this point, I'm just watching it for the train wreck-style appeal of seeing a multi-million dollar project collapse under its own weight ala Twin Peaks and X-Files. I hope there's a feature film to truly complete the effect.

Yes...sorry Brian, there are no men in capes and tights nor any laser guns, so I wouldn't expect you to enjoy it.

My hope for Lost not "collapsing under its own weight" has a lot to do with faith in this man:

...whom they've hired to watch over the scripts for season 3.

Yes, yes, because those capes and laser guns are key to my enjoyment of all media. Jackass.
I DO think Lost has great characters, a wonderfully interesting situation, a very talented cast and incredible production values. I just ask that the damn thing make sense -- and I don't mean I want an explanation for the show's mysteries. I just want logic within the show itself. I don't want deus ex magic air vents, the hatch's back door, or Kate deciding not to share vital pieces of information (hidden Others costumes) while she can't wait to tell everyone that she saw a horsie.

I just kid you about that one cause I think you give more leeway to the media with those items...sometimes. Now for a carrot.
