Nice podcast, thanks!
Hey, Dan, you were talking about Captain America coming into the bugle and Jonah offering him cigars and kissing his ass. You mentioned that it was in a Roger Stern issue.
Are you sure you weren't talking about the original graphic novel "Revenge of the Living Monolith" written by David Michelinie and drawn by a young Marc Silvestri? I'll refresh your memory.
The villian in it is an old X-Men villian called the Living Pharaoh. He aquired quite a cult following who referred to the enemy as Infidels! He concocts a plan to zap the powers of Reed, Sue, and Johnny, and transport the power into him.
Meanwhile, She-Hulk was the 4th member at the time. She gets away, but knows that the others where taken away somewhere. She contacts Captain America. They put some clues together and do a search in their computer that tells them that Spider-Man has the "know how" to help them. That's when Cap goes to the bugle to track Spidey down through Peter Parker, the guy who always takes his picture.
As coincidence would have it, I just read that 2 days ago. (for about the 20th time) It's one of my favorite stories ever. I knew you had good taste!
