Saw this with Rich while up in Seattle. Wonderful film from start to finish. A perfect jigsaw puzzle of a plot that all comes together gorgeously in the end. I want to watch it again and again and just analyze how it does the things it does. It's an incredibly well-built piece of story-telling machinery.

Also, the dialog is great and the acting jobs delivered by all the leads are top notch.

It renewed my faith in films, which is saying a lot considering the trailers we sat through before the movie began. Between Da Vinci Code looking like it was shot on the same budget as a Sci-Fi Channel movie, and that cinematic abortion of a Jennifer Aniston "comedy", I was ready to declare the entire medium dead.

Does it star Lou Diamond Phillips? I can't believe how much he was on the tv this weekend...and always in some other craptastic movie.

It stars Tom Hanks looking like he needs a fucking haircut and is maybe more interested in said haircut than the movie, but is willing to wait for it in the interest of collecting the royalty cash sure to be put in his pocket by fucktards who think the Mona Lisa having an uneven horizon in the background is actually a secret code to tell the world about Jesus Christ fathering children.

I still need to see this. Haven't been to the theater since like early February.

You'll notice I had to leave my children in another state in order to accomplish this feat of viewing a film in its native habitat.

I liked the film a great deal (Spike Lee films tend to run hot and cold with me). I wasn't so thrilled about what was in the box (hasn't that been done enough?) or the reverse descrimination crap (Denzel corrects a cop who says 'black' instead of 'african-american' and then makes a joke at the expense of a middle eastern man...though it was a really funny line). And Jody Foster's character was completely worthless. Why was she in this?

But truly, those were the only things I really didn't care for, and was not enough to turn me off from the film.

In my opinion...definitally worth seeing.
