View Full Version : Edits and deletions of PMs
At the other pretend place I was able to edit PMs and/or delete them entirely.
Is that possible here?
I miss these two options terribly...they saved me much pain and trouble.
Are they here and I'm totally missing them?
Oblivious to the obvious...that's me...over and over.
Give me knowledge.
Thanks in advance.

What exactly are you asking? As I am reading your post you would like to:
1. Unsend or delete a pm you've already sent.
2. Edit a pm you've already sent.
Unfortunately I don't believe you cna do either of these things with the current software.

I was asking about both. I was the Queen of phantom PM's at the old old board.
Thanks for the info, Mr. News.
I'll just be really careful on who I threaten or profess my love/lust to until that changes. ;) And if it doesn't, all the things that are better here, totally make up for my lack of deleting rambles and weirdness. Those that matter understand.

You can continue professing your love/lust for me whenever you like ;-)

I will save my love/lust for someone old enough to share a drink with me, but I will send my eternal gratitude to you for having a safe place to go when my favorite pretend place disappears.
You are a peach.
Really, really.
The other board has an "inbox", "sent" box, "outbox", and "save" box. When you write a message, it goes in the "outbox" until the person receiving it has opened it. Until they've opened it, you can go in your "outbox" and edit the message or delete it altogether. So, that's why you might notice you have a pm one minute, decide to read it later, come back the next, and it's gone.
This board doesn't appear to have an outbox feature... and I don't know if this particular program allows it or not, cuz it's vbulletin, whereas the other board is phpBB...

Perhaps I can start looking around the VBulletin hack sites for a function like that. It really would be helpful.
NEWS! loves it when I start doing that kind of thing. ;)
