Here are the lines for tonight's games:

ATLANTA

Duke - 6.5 vs LSU over/under 147.5
Texas - 5 vs West Virginia over/under 132

OAKLAND

UCLA - 3.5 vs Gonzaga over/under 138

Go LSU!If UCLA and LSU can make the Final Four, I might have a chance in the board bracket contest. Otherwise, I am toast.

Anyone who betted for Duke/LSU going over 147.5 is going to lose that bet.

I didn't see this thread earlier. I've got LSU over Duke in this game but there has been some piss poor shooting in the second half.

Got a game between LSU and Duke. And a good one at that. Defensive game. LSU by one right now.

Duke is struggling. This could be the end of many people's dreams of Duke winning the Championship this year.

Craig

And it looks like Duke just doesn't want this game at all. How is the free throw shooter going to get the rebound while surrounded by 4 other Duke players?

Wow, for a tight game between two highly ranked teams, that was the sloppiest basketball I've ever seen. I don't really feel like LSU deserved to win it, but Duke sure as hell deserved to lose it.

Are you serious? LSU didn't deserve it?

They played there asses off. Thomas was a beast and Big baby came through in the clutch.

I do agree with you though, Duke did bring the loss upon themselves...they basically game up.

It just seemed that there were ten minute periods where it went turnover, turnover, blocked shot, travel, ten second violation, missed shot, bunch of people fall down, basket, repeat.

Which is actually a bad decision by the refs. Call the calls. I hate that "Let them play bullshit." A foul is a foul. Call it. Don't let shit go because that ends up fucking up the game.

Jawad Williams, Jackie Manuel, and Melvin Scott went from a 8-20 freshman year to winning a National Championship their senior seasons. I'd say that's a pretty amazing career.

Redick and Williams came back for the senior year to win a National Championship and couldn't get it done. Unfortunately for Sheldon, it probably cost him a couple draft spots.

And let's not pretend like all Duke's players stay four years.

now that is some spectacular revisionism, right there.
the scrubs you listed had very little to do with the national championship.
that championship was all about ol' roy finally having the right tools (felton, mccants, may, marvin williams) dumped in this lap.

Redick and Williams came back for the senior year to win a National Championship and couldn't get it done.
yeah, you're right. all they did was dominate the acc again, win the acc tourney again, set numerous records left and right, win 32 games and advance further in the big dance than carolina.
what a shitty year.
