I still can't get over the fact that he's fifty years old. Dude looks perpetually 35. But yeah, I don't get how any man over the age of 9 can wear tightie-whities. It looks like he's wearing a diaper.

Yeah! I mean... HEY!!! :scared:
What's wrong with Jockey's? ( I wear both interchangably... sometimes simultaneously... but lets not get into that.)

Well so far there have only been two episodes. The first needed to establish the "schedule" the wives and he uses...and the second had a main plot thread concerning sex with the wives. So between 3 wives he kind of need to be shown at least 6 times in 2 episodes in the bedroom. I doubt it will be quite as prevelant in the next episode.

It's a bit slow going, but I'm finding it compelling.
Best title sequence to an HBO show so far. I've been watching it over and over. Brilliant use of the Beach Boys and beautiful imagery.

Yeah...she's easily my favorite on the show so far. But the oldest daughter looks like she might have an interesting arc, too. Can't wait until they start making good use of Melora Walters and Daveighn Chase, too.

im giving it 2 more episodes, but so far i'm watching it out of simple curiosity more than actually liking the show. it is kind of slow going and only a couple of moments out of both shows has struck me as being any good. I hope it picks up a bit because the concept is really good, but you need more than that as far as im concerned.

A weekly dose of Harry Dean Stanton is a wonderful thing.

Okay, so I've watched the third episode now, and it's really starting to hook me. It seems an impossible situation, and I love how they're just doling out little bits of information at a time. For example, in episode we learn a little bit about how Margene came into the fold, and also that wedding rings are given to the later brides by both the husband and the earlier bride(s), not just the husband, that essentially the later brides marry everyone, not just the husband. That may be obvious, but I walk into this absolutely ignorant about polygamy, and this show is still blowing my mind.
But what's with HBO releasing episode 3 on demand before it airs? Must be a mistake. :-?

They did the same thing with Rome during Free HBO week back in early September (it was episode three then too, incidentally).

Yeah, it's on purpose, look at HBO.com.
Oh, fans of the show, you can read Margene's Blog there, too.
