i'm pretty sure i don't understand it all, but what i do understand is that there is som damn good baseball on tv and i'm damn happy to see it...

asking in thispost since its baseball related and so I dont make another thread, but can someone tell me what happened to sammy sosa?

he got traded from the cubs, and honestly I cant even think who he went to. I know whom ever he went to he totally stanked it up? seems I vaguely recall some injury as his excuse (maybe it wasnt an excuse, Im just poking fun at him) however I dont ever recall hearing about him retiring or anything but I never hear anything about him.

anyone able to fill me in on the guy please.

I do find the timing of his injury and I am assuming retirement(?) awfully convenient.

That's what I was telling G last night.
Is it universally understood that I'm G? There's dozens of posters whose name begins with 'G' but I'm the only one that gets called G. :?

Great game. I was there.

It was pretty cool that although some people were rooting for mexico and other's for usa, we could all unite for the common cause of hating the Yankees.
Kinda felt bad for Jeeter though...i kinda like him.

The USA not winning the tournament is the best thing that could have happened in the big picture.

Baseball isn't a type of sport that can be easily dominated by athletic prowess. A lot of the game involves mental skill and awareness.

The U.S. can have the most expensive and advanced training facilities in the world, and can have the best trainers, but you really can't teach intuitive skill. You either have it, or you don't. And a lot of players on countries teams seem to have that where a lot of the players on the U.S. team seemed to be lacking.
