the call was for 8AM
it was most likely going to go from 8AM to actors on stage around noon

i woke up at 9:10, and called the TD, they bumped actors on stage to 10:15, and it would have taken me atleast a half hour to get there

the worst this is that i get paid for a 4 hour minimum, so i would have worked for 2 hours and been paid for 8

damn

I now wake up to the morning news on tv as I finally figured out how to work the alarm on my tv. I also set the alarm on my cell phone in case the electricity goes out sometime during the night as it does happen from time to time.

My problem is that I have found a way to, while still completely asleep, turn off my alarm clock without waking up. Alarm clocks don't work on me alone anymore, which is why I now set 2 or 3 everyday.

My mobile phone has an alarm clock in it, and I can set it to 24 hours. if your phone has one too you can probably set it to 24 hours too.

At the very least you can use it as a back up for if you mess up with your actual clock.

the problem is that i usually end up resetting my clock a couple times a week, depending on when i need to get up, and i usually don't know what time that is until the night before
it's a huge hassle

Happens to me pretty often. Fortunately I don't normally have to be anywhere at a set time in the morning. But I do hate that feeling of waking up on my own and seeing that the alarm I so carefully set the night before was for PM and not AM.

We are the same, but I wake up at 4 AM.

It's been months since I've slept past that.

Yeah, I had the same problem before.

The 24 hour clocks would be your best bet then. You shouldn't have a hard time finding one, I'm sure.

Not missed work, just running a bit late because I woke up on my own 20 minutes later than I was supposed to.

I've done that in the past before. Recently I have been trying to move to a 24 clock instead. Takes a few more seconds to read the afternoon hours until you get used to it.

Never happened to me.

I thought this thread was about AM/PM convenience stores when I saw the title.

I have ocd so I check the alarm on the clock 5 times before I go to bed. I also use my cell phone and my watch alarm as a backup.
