Volume one?
Seasons 1 and 2 are out on dvd and that episode is not part of them. Maybe Superman ran more seasons than we think. I know that the final episode of Superman plugged straight into the JL episode where they revisit Apokolips and the thing about the world no longer totally trusting Superman. Good stuff!

Thanks yo! That's what i was looking for i was thinking about this episode and wanted to find it. I was wondering if it was Justice league or Superman animated. This and Batman Beyond's future Justice league were awesome.

i still like the one from the supes animated seres where Supes beats up darkseid so back, he has cracks all over his stone like face , walks up to superman, and collapses in supes arms.

That episode, the Supergirl episodes and the ones where Darksied brainwashes supes (one of the best things EVER on TV) are on the upcoming Superman vol 3. That comes out the same day as Justice League vol 2 which has the follow up "Twilight". That day is June 20.

And THAT'S why Superman will always be #1. When he's written well there is no one cooler than he.

No problem. I'm moderately obsessed with the DC animated stuff so any chance to use that useless knowledge in a practical sense is appreciated.

Getting back to the thread topic, Apokalypse, Now pt. 2 is the ep you speak of and it's one of if not the finest hour in the DCAU. It's a great episode, but when Turpin is eliminated, the proverbial needle just pins man. To see Superman's reaction is just heartbreaking and to have the balls not to bring Turpin back. Then after the funeral scene, they hit you with 'NOT THE END' you're just like 'hells bells what could they do next'. And the salute to Kirby I mean just unbelievable. The entire Darkseid thread running through the Dini Timm cartoons is one of my favorite TV plots ever. Kudos to all involved
