Is there a way, granted I'm asking permission to do this, to record a conversation on the phone at all that any of you know about?
It's on a cell phone, and I don't think there's a way, but I thought I'd ask.

I know my phone has the capability to record an entire phone conversation, but I think most phones you have to buy equipment necessary for it. I'll check around because I think I remember hearing of a site that sells that kind of equipment.

I know it was possible with land line phones.. but I dunno about cell phones.

For the record, that's the second time in 24 hours I've been referred to as the devil. Who's going for the hattrick?

Is this so you can record my drunken conversations to you? Sorry, it won't happen again...and it's all Criden's fault anyway for having your number, he's like Satan!!

I'm going to pretend that wasn't done on purpose. I should have a "number of times it's been alluded to that I'm the devil" in my sig.

And you don't always have to ask permission. Most states have the law set up where as long as one of the parties involved in the conversation know that the conversation is being recorded then it is legal.

I don't think that's correct.

really? interesting.... but still, I think I'll ask and have that part recorded anyway just in case.
thanks for the information though, but I'm not too hip to all the legal stuff, better to be safe than sorry I guess.

the 'most' part may not be correct, but it is state to state, and there are some states that allow recorded conversations if only one party is aware of the recording.
