I just got done with the podcast, and the best point made there is that suspense is better than shock. That if something is only good because you don't know the twist yet I think it has inherently less value. That's why I've never really liked movies like the sixth sense or the usual suspect as much as most people, because a lot of their value is wrapped up in the twist ending.

I think the 6th Sense is actually a much better movie if you know the twist.
