A friend just lent me the whole run of Powers & I have to say I thought it sucked at first. Your art was the only thing that kept me reading throught the first 24 issues of the book. 25-37 kicked ass & I owe it to you for keping me reading Bendis' Top 10 wannabe stories in the first 24 to get to the good stuff. I look forward to reading Volume 2 in the next few days.

Thanks again. You're art is amazing.

ps. You got better than Bruce Timm along time ago.:grope:

That's the nicest insult I've ever read.

Seriously though, I had a hard time staying interested in early Powers stories too. Luckily I read Legends first and *then* went back to issue #1. Its always been the art that did it for me in this book.

A while ago Mike talked about Sook's Zatana looking like Adam Hughes, so I posted about Bruce Timm drawing Powers. That's why I mentioned BT this time.

i probably wouldn't have picked up POWERS in the first place if it wasn't for mike's art. anything of brian's i had read at the time was too "heavy" for what i was looking for in reading material, and i was also studying traditional animation and was loving the new bruce timm stuff as well as the old fleischer stuff. mike really nailed it with his style and storytelling until i got to like the characters.
