Great band. Terrific live. Not the greatest band ever, though.

greatest band ever....only because i saw them play acoustic at the eaton centre back in 88-89, the drummer was using cardboard boxes he got from the shops there as drums, one of my best memories

The hard to find VF record is really good. Anyone know if rock(?) is good? It's the one with them in drag on the cover

This one of those bands I've heard of since forever, but couldn't name one song of.

They started me playing bass guitar and that's enough for me putting them up my rock'n'roll hall of fame.

Yet, you showed some album covers and you forgot Hallowed Grounds on which is one of their best songs ever : "Country Death Song"

Yeah, that place is the most overrated shithole on Earth.

Its a real dive, Its closed down now right? Funny story about it..when i was on the way to the show i was alittle lost and i asked the toll guy where the "Pone Stoney " was . I was pretty baked and it was pretty funny if you were in the car

It was agreat place to see a band you like cause it was small and intimate, but a real hole in th wall..

It's admittedly getting better, but man. It's been down so long, and little bit's bound to make it look better.

I hate 'em and always have.

I also think Rock Lobster is one of the most annoying songs ever made.

I associate the two for some reason.

I got smashed in the face at the Stone Pony. My glasses were busted to hell and trampled. I wasn't watching much after that, but it was TMBG not the Violent Femmes.

TMBG wrote a song about how they got punched in the face at the Stone Pony.

I went there once and it was the miserable (before I actually got to the show).

The Femmes are awesome. I've seen them twice live and both times they were awesome.

Great band. I used to play Country Death Song every time my roomie/best friend's study buddy came over. Just to freak her out. :D
