The interview I did for Fractal Matter (formerly known as millarworld the Magazine):

http://fractalmatter.com/main/

I was very tired that evening and it was a very random stream of rambling on my part recorded and then edited and written up by Mark Peyton from millarworld.

Come find out Adi's Pokemon name and see him in a lovely wendy house.

Oh and he hints at his new project after Iron Man.

Adichu? That's fuckin' awesome! Great interview Adi. I really enjoyed the part where you talked about your average work week, and really broke down exactly how long it takes you to make your work.

Also, it takes a real man to have a photo of yourself taken inside a pretty Princess castle. Good stuff!

Excellent questions also by Mark Peyton. He really covered all of the bases.

I'm glad you liked it. Especially after I left Adi's questions at the office and all I had was Justin Gray's to work from :)

Glad you guys liked it.

I used to work for Nintendo as a concept artist and I worked on some Pokemon stuff so that's where the name originates from.

Adi -- cool interview! Congrats -- it's well deserved!

Did Mark ask you anything in more detail about the miltiatry and racial poltics of the Extremis arc? Can you say if Warren ever talked about what commentary he was trying to make by inscribing Mallen as a racist?

Also, can you talk a bit more about how 'inhereting' the history of Iron Man affected your own realization of the character? In other words, is there something about our present day world that influenced your vision of Iron Man that did not exist in the past? Sorry to be abstract: I guess I'm just asking how history, or historical events, influenced your vision of Iron Man.

No, that was pretty much all of the questions answered. We spent a long time just chatting at lenght about various comics and such, but all the relevant answers are in there.

I am not really sure what Warren had in mind really with making Mallen what he is. He hints at a lot of stuff that doesn't exactly get explored in the end. I think it would need another six issues to get to everything that is set up in our story.

And what I mean about "inheriting the history" is more along the lines of the weight of fan expectations from a character rather than anything that shaped my own vision of him. there are a lot of people out there complaining about the fact that Tony Stark's origin is updated to more recent events and about the fact that him being Iron Man is secret again... Even though we started with a clean number one which very obviously was meant to give Iron Man a new lease on life. But a lot of people seem to not understand that and are angry about us "messing" with his continuity and such. That's what I mean by "history" of the character and it being a burden, not only on us creating the book, but on the character itself. A lot of people seem to be against any change, no matter how good it might be.
