Posted this over on Bendis' forum and decided to post it over here as well. Thanks to David Mack for allowing me to post these here and on WFC.

Well, with Volume 2 coming out soon (yeah, I went Marvel on you all), I figured I'd started a new thread to go along with it. Now, why is there going to be a new volume? Quite simply, Alex had to go on to other things, and couldn't finish the first arc. Instead of finding another artist to fill in for two issues, I decided that this was a chance to really re-do everything. New art, fix my mistakes, and just hit a home run instead of a nice sized single or double

So, enter Victor Cabanelas, artist extraordinare. After a few days of talking, he agreed to take on the book. He was excited, and we went through the painstaking process of basically re-creating the book to make it something truly amazing. Victor had a fire lit under his ass from the second he got started on this book, and it shows in his art. People are saying that this is the best art he's done yet, and I'm agreeing. Every day he sends me a new page of art that we can work on, and he continues to blow my mind with it. It's truly amazing.

There is a publisher looking at this, and is very interested in it. Now, whether or not we go with them is to be seen, as another publisher that had passed on us previously may be interested in taking the project now. More news on that when I can.

So, if you're new to Tyr, by now, you're wondering what this book is about. Well, Tyr is an emotional, gripping story about a young man becoming a savior to his planet. This ongoing series follows our hero known as Typhi, into the depths of hell and back as he comes to terms of who he is, where he came from, and what he shall be as he battles forces not from this world, as well as forces from this world. This ongoing series deals as he comes to terms with his past and his future while going through the hassles of life of going to school and being a teenager as well.

For those that don't know, Tyr is the Norse God of War. Tyr is now a spirit, who inhabits the body of our hero, our main character, Typhi. This is the story of his life, his battles, and his relationships.

When do we plan on it to come out? We're shooting for June or July. It's had to be pushed back to allow time for solicitation, etc. However, we're on track to have the first issue done in time for some of the early conventions, so if you find me at Megacon in February or Toronto in April, I'll show you what we've got.

Also, if you've bought the other issues, you will get the new volume for free. Just bring your issues to me at a convention, or mail them to me, once the new issues come out. I do apologize for all of this, but I hope you love the new series, the new issues ten times more.

So now... where's the art?! Come on, I can't hold out on you guys. These are just pencils from Victor. Over the next few weeks, we'll show you the finished, colored pages.

So... let's check it out!

Once again, thanks Mack for allowing me to show off this project of love and passion on his boards. It's been a blast to just work on this project with Victor and as we wrap up on issue one, I hope to show off more to you guys.

If you have any questions, just ask them here, and I'll respond.

Here's the cover for the Ashcan/Preview Book that's going to be coming out this summer, starting at Toronto. These are just the pencils.

Done by Victor. The ashcan is coming along really good, and will be available in color. Can't wait to see that inked and colored.

And now showing off the Ashcan/Preview Book cover that has been inked by Victor himself. It came out really well I thought. Victor has drowned himself in eight bottles of diferent kinds of alcohol already because he hates inking. Here it is in all of it's glory...

Thanks! I want to thank Mack for allowing me to post these on his board. It really means a lot to me. I appreciate it.
