Its not all as bad as you might think

i'm just going to have to move to trades since i'm trying to save some money but i still want to read my titles.. just having to come to grips of getting them really late after everyone's talking about them

the first big suck was seeing the last installment of ultimate nightmare come out and hear people talk about silver surfer and all... but i managed to gather some will power and wait for the trade.

I'll be selling alot of my runs off and getting the trades for them

but what i'm wondering .. is about the new trades coming out

is there anyway to find out when trades are coming out so i have something to look forward too, or do i just have to keep checking every week?

i'm sure some of you guys get trades for certain things.. what do you do?

thanks for any help

Waiting for the trade is cool as long as you don't read much DC stuff. Their release schedule sucks...

I'm basically trade only, save a handful of books that I know need the support; Elk's Run and DVKA.

Don't listen to the bullshit that you're killing the industry--YOU ARE BUYING COMICS. Seriously, no one should give you shit for not buying a certain format.

I thought the same thing when I started to buy just trades a few years ago. I buy MAYBE a few trades a month now. I used to spend 20-30 bucks a week on comics.

I'd like to add that if my wife and I get steady jobs next year, I REALLY want to go back to buying single issues.

Ever since I've switched to trades, I have felt an emptiness. Wednesdays seem to have no meaning, and I hate reading the spoilers to read it 3-6 months later.

You'll kill comics, but now you're helping the rest of us usher in the OGN era.

Welcome to the brotherhood ... of .... I got nothin.

I killed comics over 2 years ago... I never thought I would completely. I thought I'd still get Bendis' books and a few other regulars. Having too many unread books, too many unwatched dvd's, too many unplayed videogames and shitty ass comic shops that made getting books a fucking ordeal, well that just did it.

So I just stopped. And honestly I've not really read much since. I blame it mostly on TV on DVD. It's owned my soul these past 2 years.
