People who go into the new King Kong and have no idea how the original ended.

I never knew there was such a person, until I took a date to see it, and she was crying hardcore at the end. I joke with her "Well, what did you think was going to happen?!" and she's like "I thought it was gonna be a movie about people running away from an evil monkey."

I laughed... I couldn't help it. I just busted out right in front of her. It was cute.

See I can understand people not knowing the end to this, since its a really old movie, and noone really ever talks about the resolution of the whole empire state building incident. I was completely floored when I found out how many people didn't know the ending of war of the worlds. How many times has that ending been used, or explained or mentioned in pop culture.

I walked out of Passion Of The Christ announcing out loud to one of my friends "Oh man... That was a total bummer when Jesus died.

I could understand still being upset even if you did know the ending beforehand. I almost lost it during the ice skating scene...

I know. It's not the part about her losing it that I found funny though, so much as the whole "I thought he was an evil monkey." thing.

I'm never gonna take any negative bitching from you seriously again, cause you're such a big powder puff softy. :)

I wish I could say I'm shocked by that story, but I'm not.

There are a lot people in their 20's and 30's who have never watched a movie older than they are.

I bet a lot them believe that 'Any Which Way But Loose' is Clint Eastwood's first film.

My friend Jamie has seen the original and has completely forgot about that part of it saying they've missed the point with this one. It's about an evil monkey like in the original and not some sentimental bullshit.

I was lost for words.

My wife didn't know how the original ended too, & also got the waterworks going. She thought Kong would somehow get back to the island, or escape

My wife is clueless on anything about this movie. It should be an interesting reaction when we finally get around to seeing it.

I didn't know such people still existed. But I suppose the same could be said of people going in to see Titanic.

Who could possibly think Kong was evil. He just wanted to be loved. :(

It's not like this is the first remake. The Jeff Bridges/Jessica Lange version from the late 70's/early 80's used to get played on TV ALL THE TIME back in the day. I must have seen it a dozen times growing up. And they had a sequel too where Kong got an artificial heart and they found a giant she-ape for him.

My girl hasn't seen the original, nor does she know how it ends. So I am torn between showing her the original first or letting her see the new remake. Thoughts?

In the original, he kind of was.
