View Full Version : What happened to Taki's post count?

I don't normally pay much attention to the post counts here, but I just responded to a thread started by Taki and happened to notice it said her post count was 41.
41 messages posted by Taki? In a day maybe. Taki is a posting machine here. So in the interest of satisfying my curiousity, what's up with that?

Oh, like you're really pissed, Mr. Godfather. ;)
If you really want it, now that they did it for one person I can't imagine them not doing it for you. One more step up the ladder for me.

I can deal with it if this is my competition. You guys are fucking machines. Target and Auron are mine, though, and I was slowly but surely gaining ground on Taki when she reset.

You should get them to reset your registration date too. Make it something like Novemer 2012.

I'm tired of all these fucking reboots. Taki has a rich history of posts and starting her posts over at #1 is just a cheap gimmick in an attempt to get new readers. It's an insult to those of us who've been reading her from the beginning.

What happened to Taki's post count?
A title like that just screams for a parody thread... I'm not sure what it'd be, but there's gotta be one out there. Of course, I'm sure it would be totally inappropriate.

Then why did "New Taki #1" sell more than the last ten issues of "Taki" combined, except for the special "Taki Disassembled" issues?

Because orders automatically go up for #1's, duh. Just wait, by Taki #3, sales will have dropped back down to pre-reboot levels, and then where will we be? Should she renumber again? She should have just left it alone. Anyone too intimidated to read her current stuff because of the huge backstory is simply missing out. It's not like you have to have read every post to understand what's going on, she gives you everything you need to know in context with each post!

Because when your post count is low, no one responds to you. Like me for example.

I guess. Post count shouldn't dictate ones relevance, that should be determined by what they actually post, not how many times they have. Ya know?

Yeah, I get your point. Personally, I'd get rid of them because I think that the main thing they can cause is to encourage spam, which isn't a good thing. Registry dates are fine (There is no "Ooh, I must get to...!" in them), but I'd off the post counts.
