Ok, since I didn't want to ruin the other thread by throwing in the images which might spoil the book in advance for some, here are the images some of you had asked for.

Here are the inks for the first page too. I really wanted it to feel like a giant unstopable freaking tank. Warren said that he wrote this sequence because I told him I'd like to draw the original armour, so if you hate it blame me.

I didn't realize what a nice mix of the Hitch Ultimate and regular Marvel U armors there was. The angle view of the helmet brings that out. Also, the little toes are funky!

My favorite page was the one where you have the original IM armor repulsor blasting those terrorists. That kicked ass. Almost as cool as my car page, but not quite :)

Adi -- the panel where we see the undersheath of Iron Man's armor -- literally, the gold scales that erupt out of the skin Tony's arm -- is really powerful, like some strange merging of reptile and human cyborg. (It's that stark combination of ideas, primitive and postmodern, that's really affecting).

Anyway, it actually made me think that that gold scaled undersheath might be an alternate form of Iron Man's armor -- maybe even symbiotic, like the black parasite that became Venom in Spiderman. Do you have a full version of Tony wearing the undersheath you can post? Thanks!

My god! That's amazing work Adi. I still haven't had the chance to get down to my local comic store to pick this up, so this is the first time seeing these pages for me. Totally fantastic stuff! The new suit looks so sleek and polished, and I especially like the slope of the helmet and the notches on the upper thighs. Great detailing.

Thanks for sharing with us! I'm going to have to pick this up A.S.A.P.

Adi -- I actually think that other full page painting you did of the old armor is even stronger than the one you've posted here. You're right -- I used to think the old armor looked like a garbage can, but in this page here -- it does look menacing!

oh, you're probably right, this isn't even a splash really. But I forgot about that first image until just tonight when I read the printed issue for the first time. I can upload the other one later and post it.

Btw, as a proof that I am not being completely delusional, my editor confirms that the pages I turned in so far for Iron Man #6 are indeed the best I've yet done in this series :).

How is that Possible? Can you you at least tell us what he said? Is it some change in style? You know, the writing and the art in this issue (#5) seemed to be so in synch -- seriously, the pacing, the placement of the first spalsh of the old Iron Man, later completed by the full splash of the new -- honest, I waxed on and on to my wife last night that it was like poetry -- that the narrative and artistic structure of the book -- Warren's leading us from Tony's unconsciousness in the present in #4 to his dreams and past origins in #5 -- then the all visual panels of action/violence with no words -- then his awakening and metamorphosis into the new Iron Man -- it just feels poetic as a whole. Wish I could be more eloquent and concise, but that's how it feels.

These are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. I haven't seen the issue yet, but I don't care. I'm glad you posted these.

The imposing tank feeling of the original armor is perfect. The original IM frightened bystanders, right? You and Warren have really tapped into that sci-fi feel of the character. Bravo. Can't wait to read this issue.

I have to say that I've always hated that first appearance look. It never did anything.

Until I saw your work. My god, it was incredible. Not only intimidating, but it had such power to it. Great, great work. Congrats on another fantastic issue.

Adi, I just read #5 today. Just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I loved it. To me, this series is well worth the wait. I wish you and Warren could stay on Iron Man longer. I'm really digging the story AND loving your art. Classic Iron Man is drawn to perfection.

You are my fave Iron Man artist by far dude!

Amazing...the original armor has never looked as menacing as it does in issue 5. Great work!
