Zatana says that the JLA (from Identity Crisis) turned her bad impulses good. So instead of robbing from people, she wanted to protect them.

Ugh. Really? Man, that sucks. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Identity Crisis, but I really liked Catwoman as a good character. It made sense, and made her character more interesting. Has this been confirmed?

She's going to become the new Catwoman...

basically, Zatanna tells her that they wiped her mind and made her 'good'

Selina kind of freaks out, because she thought her life had changed for the better, and now she wonders 'did I become 'good' and make changes in my life because I wanted to, or was this all done because I had no choice (due to Zatanna's magic).

She gets pissed, throws some duck tape over Zatanna's mouth and pushes her out the window. Zatanna lands on a pile of trash, and Selina comes out to kick her ass in her catwoman gear.

Zatanna uses her mojo to freezer her "!pots anileS", and then she vanishes into a puff of smoke, apologising to Selina, but telling her she felt she had to know.

The end of the issue shows Catwoman going to her closet and pulling out her old purple suit (among others) and deciding what she is going to do with her new info.

Hope she doesn't lose that sassy black catsuit, and those funky goggles, either. Best costume she's ever had!

I kind of liked her 'bad'.

the moment before she attacked Zatanna, the 'thought balloon' said something along the lines of "so, how do I act now, with this new information? Like a viallian." (and then she pushes Zatanna backwards out of a 4 story window.

I'm just conflicted, because I really enjoy her as a psuedo-hero.
This volume of Catwoman is great. I fear further change.

I know it's DC, but is there a reason given why Zatanna didn't revert her back, like the other villains?

to be honest, Selina didn't give her much of a chance.

Zatanna got ganked, and fled in a puff of smoke.

Yeah I'm not aure as to why they felt the need to shoe horn Catwoman into the whole mindwipe thing. It seems really forced. Her changing sides seemed like a natural growth of the character.

I haven't enjoyed any of the big DC storylines lately, but Pfeiffer on Catwoman and Arcudi on Aquaman (the only two DCU books I currently read) have managed to do tie-in issues which have still been enjoyable. They haven't seemed forced at all, and have actually contributed to each book's ongoing storyline. That's a tremendous achievement.

I will agree with you, bill, that while so many of the tie-ins featured some random omac popping up out of nowhere, or completely derailing current storylines, as happened in Wonder Woman, the Catwoman story felt 'natural', if that is the right word.
