Jeez-o-Pete is that show good ! I havent watched the show in about a year and a half. I saw the marathon today and cught up with the current stuff. I think this is probably the best sci-fi out there. I love how they weave mythology together to come up with their concepts.

The new viliians are great as well. I always thought that the best bad guys are the ones that think they are good guys. I cant wait to see where this is going .

Plus you can actually see the growth of the characters. they have not stayed stagnant all these years. There has been a natural progresion and the new characters really work for me.

On another note; have you noticed how incestous sci fi shows are with actors ?

I'm actually getting excited to watch this. I bought Season's 1-8 about a month ago for $130 and I've never watched the show. :)

You will not be dissapointed. You can tell there is a clear thopught out plan from the creators. It is spot on smooth. The new season might just be my favorite. Everything old is new again. The whole series has been reinvigorated.

I understand that Amanda Connor missed a lot of the early part of the season due to her pregnancy, but her absence made a big difference in the first few eps.

Ben Browder is just plain likable, and Claudia Black did a good job pinch-hitting, but while the additions are good (Beau Bridges made a very smooth intro) not having O'Neil & Carter hurt a lot.

I thought the same thing about Oneil at first but not anymore. I think that shows the strenght of the show. No one character is integral to it.I miss him but he has moved on the way someone would have in reality. The stroy has progressed naturaly. And Louis Gosset jr is working out as well

I hear you and agree that the show is doing fine without jack.

They really were smart the last two seasons keeping O'Neil around most epsiodes, but no longer THE MAN, the way he was for the first 6 years.

Carter Daniel and Tealc do just fine w/o out him, and I like the way they occasionally bust Cam for being the "new guy"

I miss Don Davis too, but I'm sure he'll make more appearences like he has on both SG shows last year.

Really? I love stargate, and have been watching it from the first episode on Showtime up to season 7. I've seen some episodes here and there from the last two seasons, and frankly they seem to be getting progressively worse with each new season. I even watched a bunch of episodes today from the latest season, and it really doesn't seem as fun and exciting as the previous seasons. Perhaps it is because I haven't watched them all at once, but it feels as if the show has really fallen apart.

I truly thought last season was one of the best ever.

This season has gotten it's wind to me, after a shaky start.

For me it's a solid show but not a must-see. I watch it from time to time.

I miss the fat bald general guy, although Beau is a fine replacement.
