Blandy vs Terrorism
01-01-2006, 04:31 PM
Written by BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS Penciled by MICHAEL GAYDOS Cover by DAVID MACK Meet Jessica Jones. Once upon a time, she was a costumed super hero. But not a very good one. Now a chain-smoking, self-destructive alcoholic, Jessica is the owner and sole employee of Alias Investigations — a small, private-investigative firm specializing in superhuman cases. This deluxe hardcover collects all 28 issues of super-scribe Brian Michael Bendis’ ALIAS — plus all-new, behind-the-scenes bonus material compiled in conjunction with the writer himself! In her inaugural arc, Jessica’s life immediately becomes expendable when she uncovers the potentially explosive secret of one hero’s true identity. But her wit, charm and intelligence just may help her survive through another day. Thrust into the midst of a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels, has Jessica burned too many bridges to turn to old friends for help? Plus: Jessica travels to upstate New York to investigate the disappearance of a teenage girl rumored to be a mutant in a prejudiced small town; goes on a date with the Astonishing Ant-Man; teams up with Jessica Drew, the original Spider-Woman; and confronts the demons of her past! Collects ALIAS #1-28 and WHAT IF JESSICA JONES HAD JOINED THE AVENGERS? 720 PGS./Explicit Content ...$69.99 ISBN: 0-7851-2121-8 Trim size: Oversized

How much? Through mycomicshop I'm paying $48.99 for it.

$34.99 - if they send it to your US address, shipping is pretty cheap. Though internationally, you have to add shipping extra which will drive up the total quite a little. That's why I usually get a pretty large order all at once through them.

Yeah, it's from amazon. I'd order through DCBS but I'd be brutalized with customs fees for something that big coming through the border.

A black and white Omnibus of your entire DD run?

Because that would be great. Even a colored one would be great. Who do we have to talk to so this can happen?

Would DD still be red? Not that they'd need much red in for YOUR run...

I first thought that having a black and white DD omnibus would be kind of silly, but the thought of having Maleev's art in just plain pencil seems very enticing to me.

I remember Bendis showing off the first issue of his DD run in glorious black and white back when he still shopped at my comics store in Cleveland. I still think it would be amazingly cool (no offense to Hollingsworth and Stewart).

Yeah. What the hell?

I am soooo tempted to get everything from them for free. They have more than 5 pricing errors. They have several 0.00 price points.

Anyone order from these guys before?

You can count on my support for this project. Also so that we can have other nice things in the omnibus format. Its expensive, but we plan to plant the seeds of interest in people right now so that they're all about it by the time it comes out. I don't have my Previews with me at home, anyone know of any extras present in the omnibus?

Black and white? If the originals were in color, why not collect it in color? If I'm paying a crapload of money for a book like this it damn well better be in color. I buy most of these upscale hardcovers, but completely passed on "Walking Dead" because I couldn't justify $50 for a black and white book.

because the book is alredy collected in 4 oversized HCs in color.

lots of people have expressed interests in the 'black and white' version back when Maleev posted it.

I know it sounds kind of out there now, but I think it can happen. How many years did people say (including people at Marvel) that we woudn't get any more Alias in HC.

Fan support helped make the Omnibus happen. Hoping DD:Black and White can happen, too.
