The field gained a player last Friday. While many comics fans were starting their holiday revelry, VideoTVisioN’s Mike Grady, Mike Benson, and Robb Rugan were literally taking things to the 11th hour to get the first of what will be many “Comicast” episodes of 12 Gauge Comics issues formatted and uploaded onto iTunes. The first comic – Jason Pearson’s Body Bags: Father’s Day #1 is available here.

The “Comicast” is something of a hybrid between a simple digital version of a comic, CrossGen’s Comics on the Web (in terms of voice acting), and where things are headed, in that it has its own navigation system, which steers readers through the content. Undoubtedly, it will be analyzed, critiqued, and studied by those both on the sidelines of the downloadable comics game, as well as those in the figurative locker room, readying their own versions of downloadable comics.

Downloading this now. I really like "Body Bags," so it'll be interesting to see a multimedia presentation of it.

I'll let you guys know what I think.

A downloadable iPod comic would be great for re-reading. Lots more convenient than going to your basement or attic to retrieve something.

Does this just work for the video ipod or will it work for the photo one as well?
