Statue based on Iron Man #76,

There's a new statue coming out from Sideshow Collectibles in late 2006 based on Adi's cover for The Invincible Iron man #76. Overall I think it looks great, but I'm not quite sure that it does Adi's cover justice. There area few anatomy issues (the neck looks a little long for where the shoulders are set) and the spine of the armor doesn’t look like it can be compressed (I'm not sure he'd be able to stand up), but it is incredibly well sculpted. Also, the color scheme is a bit off in the gauntlets, though I'm sure some of those issues will be addressed before the statue gets released.

I think it's awesome. Almost everything about it is right. Oh how I wish I had it for reference before. I like it a lot more than the cover itself because the damn thing is so old now all I can see is mistakes. It's really nice that they credit me for the original painting. I see a lot of my art used on various products without credit so it's cool of them.

The only thing that bothers me is that his forearm gold parts shouldn't be gold but red. Only the upper parts of his arms are red. But as Prof Oreo mentioned, I hope that gets fixed before production. Other than that it's pretty damn spot on. More so than the action figure that came out a while ago.

That is a beautiful statue and it looks as great as the artwork that its based on.
