Damn, that's just nuts. Good thing their army sucks, otherwise I wouldn't want to engage them in war.

Is that right? That is insane...Can't say that it is a surprising stat if true. There are over 2 billion people there. I have also heard that they have something like 150 seven footers in their national basketball program which I found surprising.

I think it's right. Just heard it on of all things The Tony Danza show. He was interviewing someone involved with a morning show, I think the host of the CBS morning show. And the guy said that about America and China as he was travelling in China. The guy also mentioned that despite travelling into the one of the poorest areas of China, in the middle of nowhere after travelling on a mountain road for about 6 hours, that this poor Chinese farmer had a cellphone that had perfect reception! (He was criticizing the American phone companies with this statement more than saying a poor Chinese farmer had a cellphone).

In ten years the Chinese navy will be larger than the US navy. And probably because of the trade deficeit (sic).
Still, I'd love to visit the Great Wall and some other sites there.

There are "only" 1.3 billion people. But still...

I wouldn't doubt it if their Navy would be larger by numbers and/or fleet; but I think America's navy would be more technologically advanced.

It really depends on what you call a city. The DC area has well over a million but DC itself probrably doesn't. Fairfax county near DC probrably has over a million but might not be counted because it's not defined as a city. The LA area could probrably be counted as 5 different cities all over a million and the SF area could be 3. New York could be cut up into 5.
So the real question is how did china define their cities compared with how the US did.

That is...unless the CIA engineered bird flu doesn't wipe out a large portion of them first just like the HIV strain they created has devastated Africa.

I sure believe it. Even back in the middle ages China had a few cities that approached a million people.

Nope. Just means you need to give them time. They'll get there.
