View Full Version : Stop bitching and whining

when somebody posts something that's been on the board and God forbid something you have posted before. What's the big fucking issue with that?
I'd rather read something interesting again, than read half of the nonsense spilled all over here or how much you have had to drink. Is it soooo important for you to be a news-hugger and overly protective about something you stumbled over browsing the internetS?
Do we have to be promptly pointed to the original thread and have the finger wagged in our face if the search fucking button fails to inform us the sole ownership of your "news"? Please. This irritates me more than multiple quotes we thankfully got rid off.

P.S. How many coffee threads have we have before? I don't see you bitching about that, and you shouldn't, because why? Because it doesn't matter.
Thank you.

It deminishes thier 'board cred' if someone else gets the credit for bringing up something that they brought up first.

Someone else getting thier cookie is a tragedy that can not stand!

I've been saying this since, well, since I've been on the board. But some people who are on here 24/7 think it's they're responsibility to play "all ready been posted police".

If it's posted as a point of information, I think that's good. Presumably, if there were 50 posts about a story yesterday, anyone interested in the topic would also be interested in reading those.

It's only when the post is condescending or catty that I think it's bad.

Just like you did yesterday in the call of duty.

I'm sure your post is more eloquent and succinct, but it's good to know we boil over at the same time, just like chicks start getting their periods at the simultaneously when the hang out together.

It gets annoying when people cant even look on page one to see if someone has already posted it. You divide discussion and send good threads down. If it's from last week or something fair enough, but it isn't difficult to notice it on the same fricking page.

You should read some of the political threads if you want to read people repeating themselves. Oh wait, you don't want to read that.

Yes that is right, it is never because there is already a discussion going on, it's always trying to look cool.

It's be nice if it only went up two instead of one. That way, you get some form of context, but you don't get it where you have huge quotes for no reason.

Agreed...I do this some. If someone starts a thread asking about a topic that I know there was a thread about a day or week ago, I typically will post a link in the new thread since 90% of the time what they are looking for or asking about is listed in the earlier thread.

But I don't think I ever even joking chastise someone unless they are just being lazy and the thread they are repeating is like 5 threads below their new one.
