This.

I'm sure it's not a joke, and it's not fun for you guys who live where it's snowing and freezing like crazy, but this is something I've yet to experience.

BTW, these photos were sent to me by an ex-GF in Japan. She's trying to spite me.

It is really beautiful for all the trouble it can cause.

I'm not sure I could ever settle down anywhere without proper seasons.

Throughout my life I've had mostly summer, then rain. When I moved to San Diego, it was the same.

I'd love to live and experience all four seasons.

I've been a snow stater all my life. We get everything in Ohio, long hot summers with blue skies, crisp autumns where the hills are an amazing red, winters that conceal the world under white for months, and springs that flood creeks and fill the air with the smell of green.

Good stuff.

God Damn It, take it from a Southern Boy, down here in Texas, we BEG for that. Every time they threaten any time of frozen precipt (note my weather slang), we are totally cock teased. Never, never does it happen... best, a flurry that comes and goes because it's not been cold enough to sustain it. Worst... sleet that fucks everone over. I pray for the day Dallas get totally snowed in.

Remote control even. Pull a fast one on your lady while you're at work!

If you time it right, you can make the droning buzzes sound like a low-tech porn track all the while getting her (or him) off. :p

I'm telling you that you'd enjoy it for about five miniutes ....then you'd realize you have to shovel, its very cold, the roads are terrible to drive on .....and your roofs need to be snow raked at least once a month if not more.....not to mention if you ever have kids there are bloody snowdays to worry about....while its pretty, it ain't fun

I like where I'm at now, and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

That's exactly it. Generally I prefer the cold to the heat.

Hate walking to work when it's icy though.

When I lived in California, it was one of the things I missed the most about the midwest - the change of seasons - the crispness of autumn, and waking up to snow. There's nothing prettier than driving past the forest preserve by my childhood home and seeing all the trees covered in snow as the sun is rising. It's one of the most beautiful things and it always makes me love Chicago a little more.

Of course, several hours later it kinda gets gross when the snow on the street turns to this gross brownish slush crap. Eew.

But I love snow.

Every year my youngest sister and I have a tradition of pushing our middle sister into a pile of snow, we've been doing it since we were kids. I did it to her last week, and accidentally pushed her into a small wire fence and a tree. Oops.

Just woke up to 4 inches and still falling on the ground.

No warning from the weather men last night.

I'm giggling and bouncing around like a five year old.

I love snow-covered landscapes, the silence the blanket of snow brings, the fresh icy air, and the glittering of the snow and ice in the sun. And warm feet.

This is only a few hundred metres away from the place where I'm going to stay over the X-Mas holiday:

Pat,

Snow is absolutely wonderful, wonderful when it falls, and then after when it's still fresh.

And then people drive on it, and I have to drive in it, and I'd rather not deal with the mush and mess and wetness.

But yeah, it does make some pretty scenery.
