The Flash TV series, for one.
Flash: Complete Series due next year around the time Lois and Clark and Aventures of Superman second season sets are released.
The problem w/ WKRP and Malcom in the Middles' second season is compeletely music rights issues. And one would assume that is also the reason Daria will probably never see the light of day. They used a butt-ton of popular (at the time) artists. There are a few ways around it... Quantum Leap has replaced some music. Married with Children had to replace the theme song after Frank's estate got weasely and tripled what they wanted for Love and Marraige. Freaks and Geeks shelled out an assload of cash. (Though Undeclared wasn't even able to do that thanks to the fact that they had some early Jay-Z before the was famous and apperantly they wanted a huge chunk of change). Pretty much any change, especially in the case of WKRP, are going to piss off fans. I just don't understand the practice of asking out-of-control rates for music liscensing. It pisses off the show's fans and in general results in the artist getting nothing instead of a moderate payday for something they didn't have to do anything additional for.
Oh, and after watching Saturday moring cartoons I'm going to add Kim Possible.

Carnivale S2 should be coming out soon- I missed the last few episodes on the first run, so I caught up on the recent HBO2 re-runs (damn it, not in HD though...)- during the last episode, they ran a promo for the DVD set.
It'll probably still cost fucking $90 though...
As to my vote: The Maxx (yeah, I know someone else mentioned it- but that's how worth it is...)- I recently watched them again, and fuck yes do they hold up.
I'm hoping that if the Aeon Flux (cartoon) DVDs do well, MTV will realize that there's a market for the old Liquid TV shows...

darkwing duck, rescue rangers, talespin, pound puppies, bonkers, earth 2, perfect strangers, where the hell is the first season of 'numbers'?
Earth 2 is out I think.
Numbers may be doing what I THINK Medium is doing. Putting the first and second seasons together since they're midseason shows. Or wait, am I remembering that wrong? Numbers did start in January right?

I was going to mention this self same thing. I want unchopped up seasons of Northern Exposure. But due to music rights they had to change a lot of it making the show largely un-watchable. A lot of the narative in some of these shows is, if not exactly told with, helped along by the music. To change the music is to change the scene. It's crap.

anyone remember that show about a girl who was half alien and half human? she lived with her mom and the dad was alive but he was in another shape or form and couldn't be with the family?
She had the ability to stop time and she was able to pick her new ability with each birthday she celebrated.
what was that show called?

I'd love to see Brimstone, Max Headroom, Hill Street Blues and The Inside end up on DVD eventually. Vengeance Unlimited, which starred Michael Madsen was cool as well. I'd love to see a DVD boxset for that.
