I'm not a raving fan, but I figure tomorrow will be a Beatles music day for me. How about you? How will you be remembering John Lennon on the 25th anniversary of his death?

"Imagine" is appropriate I think.

"In my life" is a good one, along with "Help" and "youve got to hide your love away", and from the later years "Watching the Wheels go round"

Every year around this time I wonder why Mark David Chapman is still alive. If you were the first officer responding to the scene, or just a citizen witness, wouldnt you have shot him down right on the spot? No trial, no jury no years spent in prison on the taxpayers dime. I know I would have, and I cant imagine that a court in the land would convict the guy who killed the nutjob who shot John Lennon. Does that make me cold?

Jesus, "Watching the Wheels" makes me sad. He's all like, "I'm in no hurry, I have my whole life ahead of me," and it ended up being one of the last things he recorded. :(

I was thinking of pulling out a copy of Abbey Road and taking a huge dump on it.

Nothing wrong with that, it's one of my favs too. I also like 'watching the wheels." There's a great accoustic version of it on the John lennon Anthology.

Right there with you. I was, what, 7? And was getting ready for school. I remember my mom being freaked out by the news, so I was worried we were related to the guy or something.

Funny but true story. My girlfriends uncle used to work at the loony bin where they threw the douchbag that killed Lennon. I guess the guys that worked at the place use to walk by the guy and throw names of beatles songs into their sentences to piss the guy off.

You know stupid shit like " Hey Bob, hasn't it been a longs days night?" and shit like that.

It seemed kinda funny to me so i thought i'd share it. (Whats even more unfortunate and ironic is my GF's uncle died not too long ago)
