I've talked to a lot of people who hate this place, yet there's some sort of magnetism that keeps them from leaving. What keeps you here?

Lack of an ability to get laid.

The people who hate it, I mean. Not me. :shifty:

Also, it's my primary source of comics and pop culture news. Also there are occasionally some good arguments that spring up. That's enough for me.

I like this place. Good discussions, good humor, some nice pics of hot women, and a generally pleasant atmosphere. The little bit of assholish behavior that occasionally creeps in really doesn't bother me. Actually, it's kinda entertaining sometimes. The only things that sometimes bother me about this place are the clique-y behavior, the lame attention whoring, the PC bullshit, and the phony "pure as the driven snow" image some people try to maintain, but those things aren't enough to make me wanna leave.

First it was to talk shit about Marvels retail policies.
Then it was petitioning creators to bring back Darkhawk.
Now... I just fill out the quota for Anthropologists on the board.
This is where I get my news/comic/pop-culture fix, I would never leave.

Oh, and I used to work catering for a place that had a chocolate fountain. People are freaking whores around that machine.

I admit to contemplating "leaving" - not in an attention whorish "I'm donw with the board! Convince me to stay!" way, but just stop coming by and posting...mostly because of certain posters, or drama created by silly things or bannings that I didn't agree with.

But as a whole, it's a good group, there are some really great people who post here, especially after meeting a few of them in Chicago. There are some great discussions that I don't find on other boards, too. Also, where else can I talk about LOST?

...and there's that yummy Chocolate Fountain that Trill has shared with only the "elite" members.

i must admit, the fountain keeps me coming back pretty regularly..

but actually, the only time i've ever had to leave the board was because my work load was too high and i was spending WAY too much time here.

i can't honestly say there's too much about this place that i find disagreeable. this is probably the first place i go to when i pop online, and probably the one place that i go where i can almost be guaranteed that i'll be laughing about something.

without the bendis board, i'd probably be forced to hang out at millarworld or something..

It's cheap, and easy, and fairly regularly active 24/7.
Lately night time (my world) has slowed down, but generally, it's one of the boards that seems to have activity all day and night, which is good for me because I'm usually in and out, rather than sitting in one long period.
