I just picked it up. They stopped doing double sided dvds and changed the case inside the slipcase to something like the Alias season 3 dvds.

ugh really? Does the outside at least match the other seasons?

EDIT: Actually now that i think about it that's probably better, as long as it doesn't look out of place on my shelf with the other 3. 'cause I'm anal like that.

The outside will match the other seasons. I like the new design on the inside... I don't have to unfold the entire damn case if I want to watch the last few episodes now.

Yeah that'll be nice. I'm also glad they got rid of ther double sided discs, I never liked those.

Same here, it's a shame they waited until season 4, as this'll be the last season I'm buying anyways.

We just started going through from season 1. I forgot how much I loved this show.

Same here, it's a shame they waited until season 4, as this'll be the last season I'm buying anyways.
I haven't received Season 4 yet, but I know for Gilmore Girls seasons 1 and 2 and The OC, WarnerBros first issued them with one package (different from the West Wing fold-outs) and then started making the plastic-book-style packaging to replace those titles. So it's possible that the next pressings of The West Wing 1-3 will be improved as well. Not that that's any less frustrating to us who already have them.
