Hmm. This series of straight to DVD movies seems like just a rumor (and the fact that it is from Aintitcoolnews doesn't Help). but Whedon said on Newsarama a few weeks ago that the Spike movie was a likely posssiblity but that he wouldn't direct. i'd agree that this is probably just a rumour...

but fox above everyone else has had HUGE sucsess with their DVD of "cancelled" series like family guy and firfly, and I there is a current Fox franchise worth testing straight to DVD projects, with a huge audience willing to spend millions ...it's the Buffy fandom
