If the ratings are bad, maybe it is because the internet pirates are watching it?

Don't have much interest in it. Haven't seen anything from the commercials or reviews to really change my mind.

I think the ratings are fine, given that it's been renewed. I'm more or less commenting on the lack of interest in the show here specifically.

Sorry. I just can't get into it.

Not enough dialogue and spandex?

Well, I don't have HBO so I have never seen it, although I suppose I may watch it here on weekends since I have declared the weekends break time from writing while away and there is no other business to accomplish, so TV becomes a possible if often undesirable alternative.

Still, everything deserves a chance. Plot?

Actually, I was interrested in it and figured the wife would read while it was on. She totally go into it and loves it as much as I do. Can't wait for season 2.

Why aren't you watching Rome?

I've given Rome five episodes to impress me and hold my interest, and it failed. I liked Carnivale better.

Speaking of which, why the hell weren't you watching Carnivale? If enough people had watched it, it would be still on.

Haven't HBO been going after Rome pirates on bittorrent and contacting ISPs?

I slagged the first ep, but given the build-up on other HBO greats (The Wire, Deadwood) I gave it some time and am now a convert. It's really quite good.

I still think they need a show that handles the dark side of the 50's. Just me?

It's about the events in Rome (the dissolution of the Republic) ca the mid 1st Century B.C. Julius Caesar and the civil war and all the jazz that Shakespeare wrote a couple of plays about.

I believe Titus Pullo could be one the greatest characters in television history.

i have a season pass sent for it. it was kind of slow in the beginning, but i'm a history buff, so it didn't bother me so much.

!!!!!

I may have to watch this just to jeer the undoubtedly countless inaccuracies. What can I say, it's me.
