I e-mailed Bendis this request, and I feel like sort of an asshole for reposting it in the forums, but my editor is about ready to kill me, so I figured this is the quickest way to get a response and perhaps get me into the Powers letters column.
I really want to apoligize if this is considered trolling. It's been awhile since I posted anything anywhere.

Dear Mr. Bendis,
My name is John P. Gallo. I'm a Freshman at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, and I'm currently one of the staffers on our literary magazine the Calliope. Like most college literary magazines, it is a collection of short works of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction essays. Prizes are awarded to the top pieces in each category.
We at the Calliope would like to know if you would be interested in judging any of the categories. We would mail, or e-mail, the pieces to you in February, and we would need them back by the end of February. We are a small school, so the number of pieces you have to read would be limited, no more than ten or so. You can judge any category of the three mentioned, except for poetry, because Nikki Giovanni will be judging those submissions.
Personally, I've been a fan of yours for years, and it would be an honor if you would judge for us. If you have any questions feel free to IM me at BookPusherPony or call me, I left my number in the e-mail. If you do call, please disregard the embarassing long voicemail message.
Thank you,
John P. Gallo
