Hey Marc, I'm curious here. Someone (I think it was Bendis talking about Marvel, but don't quote me) said that when writers are looking to kill someone, the companies will hand them lists of what characters can be killed.

Is this the case with Manhunter? Do you have "The Big Book of Killable Characters" to refer to when writing? Are there characters you've wanted to kill, but been unable to? Are there characters DC has told you to kill that you didn't really want to? More importantly, if you were given complete freedom, who would you have Kate kill off?

I know that there have actually been very few (character) deaths in Manhunter so far, but I guess I'm just feeling morbid.

I'm also feeling proud of myself because I remembered that your name has a C in it this time, but that's another thread entirely.

the list of "killable" bad guys was something i used when the book first started, but now, if i wanna off a baddie, i simply ask my editor if i can. i haven't had anyone yet thati was forbidden to kill, but the one character that i think kate would most like to take out is one who will never die: the Joker.

don't forget, everybody: Manhunter vol. I TPB is out wednesday!!!

Interesting... but if you had no worries of editors and fan backlash, who would you personally like to see offed?

Will there ever be a Kate vs. Joker battle? I know there was a dream in one of the earlier issues where Kate kills the Joker, but a real battle between the two would be awesome.
