So Moon Knight's going pretty well so far, I think. Editorial kind of brought the hammer down because I've been badly dragging my feet, and I'm back up to a page a day like I should be. I'm enjoying the book in a big way, and it's feeling right for me. It always takes a bit to get your footing on a book, and know how you want to approach a character, but I think I know how I want to do this for the most part now. It's turning out to be very different from what I was thinking I would do with it, but I think that better sense prevailed in the end. Going for a stark Miller style, or a messy Deathblow style would have been a mistake, I think. I'm just going for a very detailed, scratchy, Greg Capullo on Spawn, Nowlan on Batman, Risso on everything, JRJR on Daredevil, Joe Quesada on everything, Jordie Bernet on Torpedo, Jim Lee on Batman, Steven Platt on Moon Knight thing, with lots more Danny Miki unleashed than I got on NA. I'm really curious to see where he goes with it. Should be lots of fun, and it should fit the book! I kind of can't wait for the angry comments about what we're doing with this.... I think I listened to the internet for too long, and it drained my art of anything good trying to appease so many different factions. Right now I'm doing this for me, and following my instincts, which I needed Joe Benitez to remind me that I used to have.

I am so looking forward to your art on this one. I thought that you did a great job on Ultimate X-men (my favorite work of yours so far) but I'm definately looking forward to MK. I'll have to buy some of that art once you start selling! :)

I'm not very familiar with Moon Knight, but I eagerly anticipate your run on the book. While looking at the House of M previews, I noticed that your Moon Knight appears on Layla's wall as a poster.

I'm glad to hear it's going well for you and that you "feel" good about it all. It's hard not letting the internet effect you because you want to be a part of things, but there are people out there who ruin it for everyone. No matter what you do there will be people who will buy the book and enjoy it, but feel they need to trash it to gain some twisted notariaty. I take the internet with a grain of salt and don't participate in a lot of message boards for that reason. It is a shame really. Anyway, it sounds like we are getting Finch unleashed and that's fine by me, but please no more of the "S" word[Steven Platt] On another note Dave, we, ComicGeekSpeak.com, are exclusive with the New York Comic show next year and they are going to supply us with creators for interviews to help publicize the show and we will be onsite as well doing interviews and reports from the show. I was enthused when I heard you will be there, with the possibility to do an interview with you,(I already set one up with Charlie Huston) not to mention a Moon Knight sketch(so get cracking because I don't want to hear you don't have time ;) I kid I kid. So now you have almost 3 months advanced notice. Looking forward to it.

Same here. Keep up the good work, Dave. I'm really looking forward to this series. Any chance of it becoming an ongoing down the road? With you as penciler, of course.

I'm looking very much forward to this. And David, you shouldn't worry about what some of the readers will say. Just do your thing! There's nothing like seeing work that you can tell and feel that the creator has put so much passion into. :)
