so, since i moved, it's hard for me to get to a decent LCS, so i'm forced to go to this one close by my house, this small "hobby shop" that has new releases and some trades....

now, like i said, i'm going to take a break from comics just as soon as all the story arcs i'm reading are finished (with the exception of Kabuki and Runaways which are the only ones i'm really looking forward to)... so i went today and asked the guy if he had Kabuki #5.... he goes like:

"Kabuti? what is that?"

.................................................. ...........................................

i wanted to slap him right then and there.... he had the CoB trade too somewhere over there, i knew that because i saw it a while back....

aaah young padwan, strong is the darkside that lead him to his ignorance... teach him the way of Kabuti (!), show him the error of this path and bring light to his miserable existance. be gentle with him for he may have riches to bestow for your efforts.

runaways? tell me more.

the Amazon.com summary of the first volume HC:

In Pride & Joy, six young friends discover their parents are all secretly super-powered villains! Finding strength in one another, the shocked teens run away from home and straight into the adventure of their lives - vowing to turn the tables on their evil legacy. In Teenage Wasteland, the Runaways find a kindred spirit in a daring young stranger and welcome him into their fold. But will this dashing young man help the teenagers defeat their villainous parents... or tear them apart? Plus: who do you send to catch a group of missing, runaway teenage super-heroes? Marvel's original teen runaway crimefighters, Cloak and Dagger, make their first major appearance in years! In The Good Die Young, the world as we know it is about to end, and the Runaways are the only hope to prevent it! Our fledgling teenage heroes have learned how their parents' criminal organization began, and now they must decide how it should end. As the Runaways' epic battle against their evil parents reaches its shocking conclusion, the team's mole stands revealed, and blood must be shed. Which kids will still be standing when the smoke finally clears?

it's a very well written series by Brian K. Vaughn, not in the same vein as Kabuki, however, it's really the only book that i'm still looking forward to seeing what happens anymore every month for some reason....

Yeah, totally get him into Kabuki man. Tell him it's a great read, something he truly should know about. :)
