My mom went into labor with me in the middle of Game 7 of the 1975 World Series. She refused to leave for the hospital until the game was over.

Cincinnati beat the Red Sox 4-3, by the way.

After Fisk's home run of the night before, she just didn't want anything to make her miss a potential reverse of the Curse.

Of course, she ended up waiting another 29 years to see it...

It was more of her being a sports junkie in general thing. The woman once flew to Dallas just to watch a hockey game.

What can I say, she's nuts.
