Which characters in the Marvel universe have the ability to fly? I was trying to think of a few more prominent characters (heroes, not villians) but am really having trouble.
Which female Marvel characters have had their own books? Or at least which female characters work on their own outside of a team? (more main characters as well, not too worried about some obscure ones)
Which characters (again Marvel U) have some kinda military background? (male or female)
No, this isn't for anything in particular. I just have a very vague idea that I am entertaining but have realized that I know too little to even attempt to make it work.

The Sentry, Rouge, Angel or Archangel, Storm, Jean Grey, The Human Torch can all fly.
Mystique, Black Widow have had their own book.
Wolverine, Sabertooth, Black Widow, Captain America have had a military background.

Can't really think of any other heroes that can fly. Brandon listed quite a bit.
Female characters with their own book: Emma Frost, Jubilee, Arana, Mary Jane, She-Hulk, Rogue, Spider-Girl, Spider-Woman, X-23, Shanna.
Military: Nick Fury?

jessica jones(though not very well), gaurdian, phoenix (but i would count that with jean grey)
jessica jones (alias), blink had a four issue mini series, storm, rogue
i would consider bishop to have a military background with the xse's, domino, probably everyone in alpha flight.

What's the idea? I once saw a show with this great guitar player -- Tuck of Tuck and Patti (they're mostly R&B, but he is truly one of the world's great guitar players) and he announced to the crowd that he was going to play an instrumnetal version of Stevie Wonder's song "Looking Back."
Anyway, he said he'd been trying to perfect his version for years, but that it always fell apart about 5 minutes into the song. It was an amazing performance as he talked through the parts as he was playing, describing each successive measure with more complexity, explaining where his fingering was going to waver, until the whole thing just built up to this joyus chaotic collapse. It was the best example of triumphant failure I've ever seen!
So let's hear it, Adi!

Nah, for now it's just a vague thought far in the future.

Ms. Marvel/Warbird fits all 3 categories, flight, a title, AND a military background...
