I thought they said that it had been changed to 12 a year after they launched. Anyone know?

At least a couple of things to look forward to:

Sgt Rock (Kubert)
JLA Classified (Simone/Garcia-Lopez)

But the way DC is putting together their Seven Soldiers TPB will make me lose whats left of my hair. The first volume collects the one-shot and only the first (and sometimes) second part of several of the series instead of putting out the complete series in their own volumes. Arrggh!

It does make sense, though.

I think each one ends the same anyway "to be continued in Seven Soldiers #1" or whatever, no matter if the series are 'resolved', there is still something to tell.

To present the books in the order in which they were/are released, I think it may be vital to the story (don't know, just speculating) for it to be read that way and weave an entire tapestry, instead of just telling the one book (plus the way they get you to buy all the books, right?)

I was going to buy them all anyway, so I'm not put out. I do think I may hold off on the first trade until the second comes out, so I could at least read a few of the complete minis.

That Y: The Last Man cover is GORGEOUS. I like the subtle "Y" made with the blood splattered on the left, and the monkey doll.

IIRC, YTLM is only 60 issues...so we're headed into the final stretch.

I'm actually really happy that they're deciding to do the TPBs in this fashion.

You're missing out. I'd recommend at least giving Sgt. Rock a go, especially since Joe Kubert is a master. And Brian Woods' DMZ will probably be excellent as well.

Why would I cry? Looks like Supergirl vs. Supergirl. And since whatever her problem is is being dealt with in her own title, it looks slightly better for her. I was worried that there wouldn't be an issue solicited, period.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's painfully obvious what's going on in Supergirl. Loeb is writing it. Loeb also wrote the Two-Lexes episode of Smallville, where Black Kryptonite was introduced. Black Kryptonite was just introduced in Supergirl. Now, three issues later, we have Supergirl versus an evil version of herself.

Doesn't Loeb have some issues of Ultimates to write? Better to give Joe Mad that five year head start.

What's probably going to happen is the same thing that's happened with Superboy over in Teen Titans. It looks like there are two of each, the clones being created by Luthor and the Society.
