How about very Alex Toth-ish. Very Rembrandt-ish. How about very hundreds of artists before his time-ish?

Why is it everytime I see a b/w picture SOMEONE has to mention "looks Sin City-ish. Looks Miller-ish."

Frank Miller is a GREAT artist. WONDERFUL. Innovative, inventive, brilliant. He's a huge influence on me.

Chiaroscuro! KEE-AH-ROW-SKOO-ROW. Not "Miller-ish."

Frank Miller is a GREAT artist. WONDERFUL. Innovative, inventive, brilliant. He's a huge influence on me.The same bothers me where writing comparisons are concerned.

It'd be unbareable if Frank Miller weren't an obvious rip-off of the Matrix. :crazy:

his right shoulder (our left) does look a little reminiscent of miller, but it's all jim lee, the shading, the pose... duh, since it's Lee, eh?

I never said I agreed with any of them, I just hear it a lot.

whatever, it's not a bad thing to have a piece of work be compared to someone I admire, no matter how off I think they are :D

Oddly enough, every time someone would see me inking Street Nights (available at comicxpress.com) and they asked about it, I'd tell them it was a Sin City book that I was inking... no one ever questioned me..
